Woodstock Parade

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and are settling back into the school routine. THIS Saturday is the Woodstock parade that we signed up to participate in. I have a 9x5 trailer that we'll be able to decorate some and put some players on. There will not be enough room for everyone to fit on the trailer and I would like to have some players skating if they would like to. Others may chose to walk.

The parade begins at 5:00pm. We have to be there before that, but not too soon, because we want to be toward the back of the parade near Santa. We will meet in the parking lot at 92 & Main where the furniture place (old Walmart) is @ 4:30pm.

I have red, white and green jerseys for all the players to wear. We would like to have all parents that plan to walk with the float in their white CHILL T-Shirt. If you do not have one, please let me know and I will try to work out enough jerseys that you could wear a jersey or we still have some white T-shirts and a few grey hoodies (with the fall logo) for sale. Players should plan to wear their hockey equipment and bring their stick. I am asking that parents take the face cage off the helmet so faces can be seen. If you are uncertain how to remove it, their should be 2 screws holding it on the front. If you can not get it removed, it is no big deal.

We will be handing out a flyer with information about CHILL with the picture of the group and SANTA. We are limited with the number of these we have so it will be important that the people passing these out hand them to appropriate age specific families. Our target audience will be families with children between the ages of 4 and 18 trying to hand 1 flyer to each family and not each family member.

If you are planning to help with decorations please let me know ASAP. If anyone has any spare LED Christmas lights please let me know. I have a few, but would like to make the trailer as lighted as possible with the power inverters I have and they only work with LED lights.

Right now I have the following:

On the trailer in hockey equipment: Owen & Charly Kelly M. Gabriel Carter Isaac Lyric & Xavier Joshua S.

Walking or Skating in hockey equipment: Addie Andrew & Eric T. David Matthew Parker F. Ayden K Caleb Cole Lanton Nick Z Broderick Katelyn & Megan Will & Ed Cameron, Justin, Cason

If you plan to attend the parade and your player is not listed, then I didn't know (or remember) you were planning to attend. The more the merrier, So please let me know.

If you would like to skate there are some items to consider. 1. You have to be able to keep up with the pace of the parade (fast or slow) 2. The streets will be unpredictable and there may be bumps, cracks, hills, etc that may require some maneuvering. 3. The asphalt streets will be hard on the wheels. Outdoor (harder) wheels are recommended for this type surface.

There may be additional information that I've forgotten in this email, but I think I've tried to cover most of the important stuff.

If you are planning to help decorate the trailer, please contact me so we can coordinate that.. Depending on how much help I have, will determine when we need to get together. Thanks
